The Origin Story: This poem was written as I reached my 18th year of life. I had come out of the haze of my Lost years and was taking charge of my world. I adopted a different approach to dealing with my father, I was madly in love with my first wife, and I had a big chip on my shoulder regarding my writing. This poem exemplifies I believed myself to be on par with Jim Morrison, Arthur Rimbaud, Neal Peart, and William Blake.
